I am painting about my slightly desperate situation of being diagnosed with MS. The effects make me feel closer to the edge of life imposing new limitations with a realization probably no different to anybody else that life is a fragile thing. This has given me the right to paint about effemeral life using sea situations to portray my feelings and mood about my heightened awareness.
'I have always been fascinated by animals and have drawn them for as long as I can remember. Horses are a particular favourite, in their natural state, grazing, rolling and scratching.
I rarely go into much detail with monoprints, drawings and sculptures, keeping a sense of movement or action about to happen.
